We get to see in lesson 10 that our mind does not like NOT thinking. It is always chattering, and busy, keeping us distracted with thoughts of past and worrying about the future. This idea applies to ALL the thoughts of which we are aware. And this exercise offers us an opportunity to experience that our mind is truly blank, and these current thoughts pervading the mind are NOT our true thoughts. To recognize this is to recognize nothingness when you think you see it. As such, it is the prerequisite for vision.
Begin to notice in your life moments of PURE presence. Whether you are picking up a pen, or listening to a friend. Be still. Find the space in between and truly listen to the stillness. You will be surprised at what you will experience beyond the thinking mind.
